Earlier this afternoon president Barack Obama gave a speech and explained his administration's immigration plan in more detail about letting 800,000 illegal immigrants apply for temporary legal status and work visas. While delivering his speech a reporter interrupted him twice trying to provoke an argument in a way but was later silenced by the president by saying "I didn't ask for an argument" and continued with his presentation. Obama's proposal would allow immigrants under the age of 30 who don't have criminal records and who have graduated high school, and have lived in the U.S. for at least five years to apply for visas and work permits but one catch is they must have entered the U.S. when they were a child around the age of 15. In a decisions poll held for registered latino voters, 87% of them support legalizing young immigrants. Opponents of the bill like the Republicans complained that by creating this, will encourage more people to attempt to cross the border illegally.

Career Day
This year I attended the job fair that is held every year at a local college called Concordia and our school spent the whole day listening to presentations by people who run their own businesses, work at a large company, and entrepreneurs. Visiting all those job presentations was very informative because no one has ever talked to us about those jobs in detail. Some stuff from the main presentation held in the large auditorium I remember from my last visit so I didn't really need to hear that information again. While I was there, I sat in on two presentations just like everyone but the one that was most interesting to hear about was the second one where this man talks about how he started his own franchise of Little Caesar's pizza stores. At first he was a successful lawyer working at very well known law firm but then he quit his job to pursue what he really wanted to do, to own a small business without having a boss tell him what to do. He knew the risks about staring his business like if he chose a bad location where there isn't many customers, he could end up losing all his money he invested into that shop. I liked both my presentations that I listened to because they were both telling me stuff about that particular business that I didn't know about. I do have a career goal in mind for the future which is to become a pilot of either airplanes or helicopters or maybe even both. Once I finish up getting my general education, I will look for another college more into aviation to help me achieve my goal. I have researched a couple colleges that are focused on aviation and the best ones are usually too expensive or far away so I just looked into closer schools that aren't so expensive because I don't think I can get into those. Right now I am currently unemployed because of several reasons like the lack of jobs right now, employers don't want inexperienced workers, and too many senior citizens are still working. I have previously tried job hunting for a month straight but out of all the applications I turned in not one replied back for an interview. After a while of trying to get a job I just stopped searching and focused more on my school work because at the time I was doing my senior exit project and I was already on a tight schedule to finish up and turn it in on time, but now that I am going to graduate I will start my search again. I am open to any job that will hire me because I never had a job before and I just want to work because I have too much free time on my hands. After my graduation I don't know what I'm going to do except got to OCC and looks for a job, I wish I could go on a vacation like my other friends but I can't unfortunately.

3 Wishes
Almost every one in this world has at least had that moment when they dream about having either vast amounts of wealth, a new sports car, a mansion over looking the sea, or just having peace on earth but I have more important dreams of hopefully being achieved in the distant future. For my first wish I would wish for tools and complete knowledge in space travel to go across space within mere days or weeks rather than it taking months and years. This wish would allow us to finally figure out if we are alone in the universe and find out if they are as evolved as we are, but I wouldn't want my wish to figure everything out for us by providing all the facts and details about discovering space. I would want it to be like a surprise. My second wish would be the ability to build new locations around the universe so people can live there independently without having to travel back and forth to earth for supplies when in need. Creating new "earths" would probably be the most amazing thing that humans would accomplish in the history of man, it would also be a plus if when we arrived to that new location there were already civilizations that have grown like us on earth. Even though my family is religious and we believe in god and jesus, I can't miss out on the chance of knowing if its all real or not.
For my final wish, I would want a very large amount of money that I can spend anywhere at anytime in the world. The first thing I would do with my money is to put 75% of it in the bank and the rest in my house so I can spend on what ever I want like buy clothes, food, and miscellaneous products. I would keep the money from my bank account there for special purposes like paying for school or paying for a car.

Domestic Violence
During the assembly today I had no strong feelings of boyfriend and girlfriend abuse. The presentation delivered by the woman was very informative but most of the stuff I already knew about and the rest I didn't really care about because I have no history of abusing or being abused in a relationship and I don't plan on having one in the future. Sure the subject about some one getting injured or even killed is a sad subject but I am not that saddened about it because there are more important issues that are going on in the world, having a bad relationship is not a pressing issue that everyone must turn their attention to. I am not at all for people getting abused by some one else.
As for the laughing today, some people might have been laughing because it made them feel uncomfortable so they relieve the feeling by trying to make it into a positive one by cracking a joke. Not all student can be classified as being disrespectful and pathetic for not knowing how to deal with their emotions properly in that situation.
While I was listening to the woman speak it was not very enjoyable to hear about those sad stories because it kind of made me feel guilty in a way even though I never did anything, I never liked these kinds of presentations. Today was not my first time having to hear about how teenagers or young adults get abused by other family members or their partner. I have seen and read enough of those kinds of stories to understand that it is wrong so I don't really need to sit through another any time soon.
As for my personal life, as I said I have no history with abuse to that degree but I have been hit a couple times by a parent but I don't consider it abuse because I understand that what I did deserved a punishment. For generations parents have been hitting their children when they get to a certain point of disobedience and I think that is perfectly fine, as long as they don't go overboard by causing emotional scars or even physical ones. I bet most people now a days do not hit their children because they believe it will traumatize them for life but I'm not saying that violence is the answer, I'm just saying some times it is the answer when they do not obey verbal discipline.

Happiest Place
There are a lot of places that I can consider happy but one of my happiest places on earth would probably be located at my house. I don't get to travel around or see some places like other people so my options are limited. I have taken vacations to San Francisco and Las Vegas and even gone down to Mexico but those places aren't places where I can spend time and be happy. Disneyland had proclaimed itself the happiest place on earth and it might be true but in reality its only a fun place if your a child, adults can't enjoy the rides like children do. Plus I haven't been to Disneyland in years. Amusement parks are a fun place to be at but I personally don't like places with a large amount of people bunched up into an enclosed space. When I spend time at my house I like to lounge around and play with my pet bird, a domesticated wild bird. My family first found the bird when it was a baby and we nursed it back to health because both of its legs seemed to be broken or at least very damaged. He recovered and ever since it has been living with us just flying around our home as he pleases but he is also an aggressive bird, if you make him angry he will fly and attack either your feet or your hands but it doesn't hurt that much. Another activity I do is play online games and webcam chat with other online friends. My friends have a webcam setup in their room and we just hang out for a while just talking about random stuff and mess around with siblings who are in the room for fun. Most of them live in different cities like Los Angles, San Bernardino, and even the UK. I love finding out how other people live just to see how different but similar our lives are.

10 Problems
- Internet Gaming Addiction
- Violence Media
- Violent Video Games and School Shootings
- Bullying at School and Online
- Violence at Home
- Violent Culture
- Suicide
- Drug Use
- Peer Pressure
- College
All these problems affect teens now a days, unlike how teens in the 80's and 90's which didn't have much problems with video gaming and internet use. Since then the graphics of video games and television have improved to look more realistic and invoke some people to want to act out against friends and family. I don't exactly agree with video games causing violence because playing a murderous game doesn't make me want to kill teachers and students in school. Most of these problems we teens deal with can be easily dealt with by not having a bunch of stupid kids doing whatever they want and making them understand that that stuff isn't real and is made up.
Current Event
A Kentucky man goes to a local Kmart and buys all of the merchandise that they had in store. The Kmart store that was two days away from shutting its doors and was planning on giving away all the items to their Kmart power buyers. But he didn't keep the stuff for himself, Paynter spent a total of $200,000 to buy the goods, which ranged from clothes to office supplies. He could have easily sold all the merchandise for $30,000 or $40,000. Paynter's gift to Clark County Community Services was the single biggest donation ever. Paynter has seen a lot of economic suffering at his jewelry exchange. "What I see is people coming in my store, needy people sell their stuff," Paynter said. "It's bad nowadays. I just told the clerk let's just give it away to charity."

Assignment 22
I read about a blog that talks about how when an tertiary consumer eats, he doesn't receive as much energy as other creatures do. The energy flow begins at the plants where herbivores consume it for energy. Next is the animals like snakes that eat the animals that eat the plants, and as the process happens the snake gets energy from eating the herbivore like a small bunny. Once consumed the snake gets about 100 cal from the bunny that got 1,000 cal from eating the grass that had 10,000. After the snake next comes the tertiary animal like an eagle who eats the snake and gets about 10 cal at the end of the trophic cycle. I like reading about interesting subjects like the process in which animals receive energy and other ones. I would not change a thing about this blog because its informative and it has nothing wrong with it in my opinion. I don't like the lack of pictures in the blog, if there were more than two than it might help with understanding. This blog was located in the website called Britannica, the encyclopedia.

4. My life goal is to become a pilot to be able to fly where ever I want to

My Motivation
I have some but not many motivations in my life at the moment. Stated in a post I read, most of the highly successful people in the world have ten traits that motivate them through out life which in turn makes them millions of dollars. One of the most common traits they have is an extraordinary purpose in life, they set their goals high and strive for the top of that certain profession. They take risks like trying out new strategies in order to achieve a higher position and are confident that they will attain it someday in the future. I posses only a few traits mentioned in the site like striving for more knowledge to become smarter and educated. I already accepted that I don't know everything I need to know to become a successful person in life, I still need to go to college to gain more knowledge to become a master at what I want to do, become a pilot.Once I have the chance to prove I can be one later in life, I will put all my effort into trying to become one by taking classes and starting from the ground up. I have a plan to go to OCC for the beginning part of my education and eventually transfer to a more focused school of aviation within the area if there is any. I always didn't want to become a pilot, when I was around the age of 6 and 7 thats when almost every kid began their dream of becoming something big in the future. I imagined of becoming a scientist once and also a a police officer when I was younger but my views eventually changed and my mind was set on becoming a pilot in the army because of the all the dangerous situations they encounter. Like many people, I have changed my opinions through out life and I am leaning towards becoming just a pilot for a company at the least.
When I finally start to go to an aviation school I will put all of my effort into it and I will not slack off. I am not exactly sure of how I will start out this career but it will be worth the effort I do put into it.

Assignment 21
It is hard for me to choose what my favorite hobby above all is but I would say going on the internet interests me the most. Out of my favorite activities like hiking and watching anything to do with science and space I prefer to surf the internet because there is so much information and other stuff on it. The variety of websites are tremendous and you can browse for hours without end but its not recommended to. Some websites like Google and Yahoo are search engines that help you find other websites that aren't as popular but help with your search and others like Facebook and Twitter are social media sites that allow you to communicate to your friends around the globe for free.
I have a Facebook account like everyone else in the world but I don't like using it, I prefer to have it just for fun and I rarely log onto it. Social media is not that interesting to me because I feel that if you really want to talk to friends you should do it in person or through the phone at least, not putting messages on Facebook and Twitter where everyone can see. Also when I do log on I come across very stupid posts usually about song quotes that have little to nothing to do with their personal life, or people who put things just to get noticed.
I prefer websites that you can spend time on and get something out of it, even if it is knowledge of how to properly clean your keyboard, I use picture/video sharing sites to goof off. My go to website when I log onto my computer is Youtube, it is one of the most well known video sharing sites that attracts viewers from all ages daily. I have been using Youtube since late 2009 and I have an account which I use on a daily basis. It has been up and running since February 14, 2005 and in November Youtube was bought by Google. The videos I enjoy to watch are music videos, scientific information, gaming, and funny videos. There is one channel in particular which I look forward to watching weekly and its called VSauce, this channel produces videos that inform you on weird facts from around the world and have a very large audience.
One of my other favorite websites is not appropriate for school so I can't mention it, it is not illegal but has very strong language. Another favorite of mine is called Memebase and it is a picture sharing website that only makes certain type of images called memes, you must first know the reference before you can understand the joke (like inside jokes). You can make your own very easily by using and already made template and you only have to add your words to it. These kinds of pictures have become very popular among us teenagers for the past two years and has been growing world wide by implementing them into everyday objects like stickers, hats, scarfs, and posters.

Assignment 20
Out of my favorite movies of all time, Pulp Fiction has to be one of the best overall. It is a wild movie containing drug use, graphic violence, and some sexual content. This film premiered in October 1994, first in a film festival and was praised as a great film by Roger Ebert giving it four stars. He says that it is a movie containing an aging genre, instead of like in new movies where the characters just say enough for the plot to advance.
His opinions are all positive, when he first went to see it at the premier he thought that it would either be the year's best or the year's worst film. He describes Pulp Fiction as a movie you can see again and again and still not know whats coming next, its that entertaining. I agree that it is a great movie because when I first saw it I instantly loved it. The roles Samuel Jackson and John Travolta play are tough and intelligent thugs that surprise you with their actions through out the movie.
While watching it, I especially liked the part when Samuel Jackson questioned another character to where he gets very upset and kills the man for saying "what" too many times instead of saying some thing else.

| The process of making a meal packet |
With the money earned from winning the Celebrity Apprentice, I plan on donating all of the proceeds towards Stop Hunger Now, an organization that distributes food through out the world. Their main goal is to have a world without hunger in our lifetime by making a commitment to immediately mobilize necessary resources to anyone around the world. When in time of a crisis, StopHungerNow steps in by providing dehydrated vegetables, soy, rice and a flavor mix which includes 21 essential vitamins and minerals into one meal packet. The food is very convenient because it has a shelf life of five years which stores easily and transports quickly. They have packaged over 65 million meals and served 76 countries since 1998.

My choice in donating 1 million dollars to any charity would be for Water.org. They provide technical and financial support for third world countries such as South Asia, Africa, and Latin America by establishing wells closer to villages that are far from rivers. With the money donated, Water.org can build wells where it is safe and close by to the villagers. In most rural areas like Tigray and Amhara located in Ethiopia, people have to walk far distances to get water from a river which is usually contaminated by bacteria and other unsafe microorganisms, but now they have well sites where they have access to clean water all the time. This charity is important to me because I feel that everyone in the world deserves to drink clean water, not just certain countries. Water is the main component to life and no one can live without it.

Assignment 16
According to the Institute for Economics and Peace, Maine is the most peaceful state in the United States at this time. They use data like crime rate, homicide, police employees, prison population, and firearms availability to determine how peaceful it is. I think this is a good way in finding out but it also depends on where exactly you live. Your neighbors might be a nice couple who are friendly to everyone they meet but you may also end up living next to an obnoxious person who stays up all night and might have wild people coming over constantly. Statistics can be wrong from time to time but I think I would like to live in Maine, even if its not the most peaceful state. If I ever had the choice to move to Maine, based on this information given I would definitely consider it but my preference is to live in a city like Costa Mesa because I like living in a place where there is always something going on instead of a rural place.

A plus for anyone who drives up to Zermatt is you are able to unload your luggage directly from your car to the taxi. If you choose a walk up rental car service, it is more expensive and will need to reserve your parking space in advance. It is such a small village that most places are a 10 minute walk away and the only street you would have to remember is called Bahnhofstrasse- the main street. A little fact about Switzerland, tips are included on all bills so you do not need to give an extra tip unless you feel that they deserve it. Also citizens of USA, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, and the UK do not require visas for up to 3 months.

Assignment 13
During my nine day break from school last week, I spent most of my time at my home. I have been looking forward to not having to wake up early in the morning like I always do to get prepared for school by taking my morning shower and other basic self maintenance needs. On saturday my brother and I went with my dad to spend the day by doing what comes to mind like going to see a movie at his local theaters. He lives in Anaheim so we commute from my mom's place to my father's house. We usually get some breakfast at some little restaurant after picking us up.
Now that my brother and I are getting older, my father is slowly teaching us how to drive by taking us to small neighborhoods and letting us drive for a while. Later when we were done practicing we came back to Costa Mesa to celebrate a family member's birthday, our cousin turned 10 that day. He invited a bunch of his friends over and I watched them play xbox. His mother is a baker so she baked a home made cake for him and it was delicious, it was a combination of chocolate cake on the top half and the bottom part was made of flan; a mexican dessert that has the consistency like jello.
On sunday I slept in because on saturday night I like staying up past midnight playing games or browsing the web. I am used to staying up late that now even on school days I will sleep at a later time that I am not supposed to such as 1am. There is so much stuff on the internet that is both disgusting and intriguing that I am drawn to it on a daily basis. I like going on youtube to see funny videos, listen to music, and watch interesting videos but other websites provide more mature material like fights, deadly crashes/ stunts, and other stuff.
Monday I woke up kind of early because I was used to my daily schedule of getting up at 7 so I just went back to sleep once my alarm was off. I would do that through out the whole week. When I am at my house I enjoy playing with my pet bird who fly's around my house freely. He is a well trained bird because he learned how to not go into dangerous places like the bathroom, my room, and in between tight places like my couch. I didn't do much because I didn't want to do anything, unlike most people who go out early in the morning to do activities. I like going out but I felt especially lazy that week.

After looking at the top ten aviation college's in the USA, I have found that Delta Connection Academy and Academy College seem to be the best colleges for learning how to become a airplane pilot. Delta Connection is located in Sanford, Florida right on the grounds of the Orlando Sanford International Airport. Academy College is located at

Assignment 7
I have many goals in life but some of my immediate goals for the next five years in my life are to go to college, find a job, and leave my parents home. My plan in order for me to accomplish these goals is to first finish high school in Back Bay and then move onto to college, most likely Orange Coast College or Golden West College. After I enroll into one, I want to only take a few classes for my first quarter because I want to have some free time for once instead of going to school on a daily basis like I have been doing for my whole life. I really want a job after high school so I can start saving up enough money to eventually move out of my mom's house and become independent. I am willing to take almost any job because now a days there aren't many out there. Perhaps my mom will help pay for living arrangements but not fully fund it. Like my brother, I'm going to still live at home for a little while longer until I find a job or career that could fully support myself. Before any of that happens I would love to go on a vacation with some friends just for fun. I always wanted to travel out of state to see new places but I don't exactly know where yet, but anywhere would suffice.

Assignment five

Before I started attending Back Bay High School in the second trimester in 11th grade, I came from Costa Mesa High school. On my first day of Back Bay I was a little nervous because I almost didn't know anyone originally but I eventually started talking to them. At lunch I sat at some tables and noticed two other students that seemed to be new as well. We ended up becoming friends and hung out during lunch time from then on. It was a strange coincidence that we shared common interests like playing video games and discussing similar topics (mostly about weird news topics). That time is one of my favorite things from Back Bay high school.Another one of my favorite things from Back Bay is the way they run their school. Unlike other high schools such as Costa Mesa and Estancia, this one has fewer students, no homework, smaller campus, and a great schedule system. I became accustomed to going to regular school the entire day and leaving at around three, I disliked going to Mesa because it was crowded and when I try to do my work during class there would always be a person who interrupts the class for attention. I ended up not caring about school eventually because of the people.

This school has helped me earn the credits I need to graduate from high school and that is the main reason I like this school. I will miss being able to play basketball at lunch and having a place where my friends and I can just hang out. But one thing I definitely won't miss is the people who are constantly talking out loud, trying to get the teachers attention for their own satisfaction. After years of dealing with those kinds of students in class, I will finally be done with it.
The teachers here in Back Bay have been so helpful in many ways like catching me up on my credits, Mr. Kovac really helped me by putting me in his computer class. Each day I would write about an article I had to read and for each assignment I completed I received one credit. When I had partial credits for certain classes, I also took home packets to finish and turn in the next week. I liked having new classes each semester because I had the chance to meet almost all the teachers on campus.Friday, March 23, 2012
Assignment four
After a day at school, I will usually skate home on my skateboard which is a form of transportation and entertainment to me. I like riding it to places instead of getting a ride in a car because I like the feeling of the wind while riding and I save money instead of taking the bus too. My favorite brand of longboards are Sector 9. While skating home I prefer to listen to music because it drowns out the cars and other unwanted noises. Some genres of music I listen to are Dubstep, Hip-Hop, Metal, and various others types. Once I get home I like to first do my household chores to get them out of the way before playing a game to relax. A video game I have put a lot of time and effort in is called Battlefield 3 and its an army simulation game where you play as a soldier in either online combat or solo play. This game has outstanding graphics which make you feel as if your actually a part of the fight. Now a days video games are becoming more life like which have more of an appeal to me. The scenery in BF3 in simply amazing, I have never played a game like it before.

First one
My name is Sean Rodriguez and I enjoy simple things. I attend Back Bay High School until the end of the year, and I'm going to graduate within the year and move onto a community college that is close by. I have been living in Costa Mesa with my family for almost all my life, but I plan to move into a different county or state in the near future because I became bored of living with the same people (not my family).
I am interested in things that are not seen on a daily basis and enjoy playing video games too.
