Zermatt at the night time
If I ever had the opportunity to travel anywhere in the world it would probably be some where luxurious but there are so many places to see I had a hard time choosing. I have chosen
Zermatt, Switzerland as a week long destination for my family and I. As I was researching through different websites I found a number of great places to visit but they were just tourist attractions and not a place you were able to stay at for a whole week. Zermatt is an wonderful looking place that is regarded as a mountaineering and ski resort and attracts a lot of tourism.

Trolley rides
To begin the trip from the US to Switzerland you will first have to take a flight and will land in one of two international airports located in Geneva or Zurich. Both airports are conveniently close to Zermatt but because it is such a beautiful place to visit, the people want to preserve the view of the Matterhorn by only using combustion free cars to prevent pollution. Almost all cars are battery operated but there is an exception for rescue and municipal vehicles such as buses, trucks, and garbage trucks. People have a choice to drive or take a train to Zermatt and taking a train ride is recommended because it takes from 3 to 4 hours and you are able to see the beautiful scenery.
A plus for anyone who drives up to Zermatt is you are able to unload your luggage directly from your car to the taxi. If you choose a walk up rental car service, it is more expensive and will need to reserve your parking space in advance. It is such a small village that most places are a 10 minute walk away and the only street you would have to remember is called Bahnhofstrasse- the main street. A little fact about Switzerland, tips are included on all bills so you do not need to give an extra tip unless you feel that they deserve it. Also citizens of USA, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, and the UK do not require visas for up to 3 months.

Tandem Paragliding
Once your accommodations are completed, you can choose to do a number of activities such as skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, paragliding, swimming, and rope climbing. One of my future goals is to learn how to snowboard because I always heard it a little like skating and its a very fun experience. Even though I haven't been to the mountains in more than 5 years, I feel confident I would enjoy trying it out eventually. I'm also interested in paragliding too, it looks very dangerous but fun at the same time which appeals to me.
